John Datoy Bio
John Datoy is a Filipino engineer, world yo-yo champion, and comedian from Nashville, TN, with roots in Fargo, ND. His tricks and jokes have been seen opening for comics such as Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly), Jared Freid (Netflix), Dustin Nickerson (Netflix by Kevin Hart), Aaron Weber (Nateland Podcast, CC, Don't Tell) and many others.
Recently Datoy was a part of Nate Bargatze's season 3 of "Nateland Presents: The Showcase," which is available on YouTube. He is a regular at Zanies - Nashville, one of the top clubs in the nation, and was a selected performer for 7 Comedy Festivals in the last 2 years, including the Loons on the Lake Comedy Competition, where he was a Top-5 finalist out of hundreds of comedians.
Now the yo-yo: Datoy is the youngest American to have won the World Yo-yo Championship, having accomplished that feat at the young age of 11-years old. He has performed on America's Got Talent, where he was a top-100 performer, and continues to entertain comedy clubs, theaters, schools, elderly communities, and churches across the nation. His tricks, combined with choreographed routines, and his life story full of jokes have made for a great show for people of all ages.
Paula Kosienski Bio
Paula Kosienski is a writer, comedian, and wife to John Datoy! Like Datoy, she is also from Fargo, North Dakota originally, now living in Nashville, TN.
The move has been very successful for her: in the last 2 years, she made her comedy debut at the history Ryman Auditorium, and has a mini special through Nate Bargatze and his Nateland Studios' "Nateland Presents: The Showcase Season 2". In 2024 she recorded her first Dry Bar Comedy special, which has been a hit nation-wide, and has worked alongside/opened for renown acts such as Dusty Slay, Ryan Hamilton, Yakov Smirnoff, and many more.
Paula's clean, dead-pan comedy about being a short lady under 5'0", married to a man who snores uncontrollably has been entertaining audiences in comedy clubs, theaters, and even churches nation-wide.
